Wellington Girl Geek Dinner
Wellington first girl geek dinner is at 6pm, on the 12th of March, at Long Xiang in Dixon street.
Tickets are $5 for students, and $15 for everyone else. This includes a 3 course meal.
There have been 2 previous dinners in Auckland, and another is planned in auckland.
NZ Girl Geek Dinners is an offshoot of the London Girl Geek Dinners, started by Sarah Blow. The aim of these get-togethers is to provide a welcoming atmosphere and a platform for learning in an informal environment, to make technology accessible and to be of interest to all age groups and all people, particularly women. It is an opportunity for like-minded ‘girls' to talk about technology over food and drinks.
Girl Geek Dinners are organised all over the world and are great fun. The events are always held in pubs and bars and there is usually a speaker who talks for a short while on a chosen subject for the evening.
